Josh Wilson
About
Born in Arkansas, raised in Texas, and now residing in Tennessee, Josh Wilson describes himself as an introvert who prefers to stay out of the spotlight. Initially aspiring to be a studio musician and songwriter, he never imagined he would find himself behind the mic, but life had other plans. Josh openly shares his journey through struggles with anxiety, depression, addiction, and recovery. He often quotes Jesus, who said, “In this world, you will have troubles,” followed by, “Take heart, for I have overcome this world.” Through his music and speaking engagements, Josh highlights both the challenges we face and the hope found in following Christ. Since signing his first record deal with Capitol Records, Josh has become a mainstay on the radio, achieving multiple top 10 hits on the Billboard charts, including “Savior, Please,” “I Refuse,” “Fall Apart,” “Carry Me,” “Before the Morning,” “That Was Then, This Is Now,” “Dream Small,” and “Revolutionary.” He has toured alongside some of the genre's biggest acts, such as Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, and Casting Crowns. A multi-instrumentalist and live-looping enthusiast, he is known for playing and recording as many as 20 instruments on stage. Josh lives in Nashville with his wife, Becca, and their son, Asher. When he’s not making music, he enjoys mountain biking, reading, and playing video games.
